Part of Scarpa s "Rush" line for fast and light hikers, the Rush Trail GTX hiking shoe gives us a low-cut version of a lightweight trekking boot. The Rush Trail features durable suede leather uppers that shrug off rocks and trailside vegetation with a TPU frame inside the shoe that provides extra foot support and lateral stability while still maintaining agility for athletic performance. The GORE-TEX membrane and grippy Supergum rubber let us tackle tough trails in all types of weather, including the Alpine treks not far from Scarpa s Italian home. Sturdier than its cousin, the Rush 2 GTX, the Rush Trail GTX pretty much gives us the protection of a hiking boot in a low-cut package that s much lighter than a traditional Alpine trekking boot.
