The hard-wearing, high-tensile Schoeller® nylon upper is reinforced with rubber rand and TPU inserts for additional rock and scree protection and the trademarked Salewa® 3F System reinforced with Kevlar cables. For additional weather protection, the Gore-Tex® Performance Comfort membrane offers wearers both comfort and weather protection in changing conditions, including heavy rain and deep snow. Underfoot, the high-performance Pomoca™ Alpine Dynamic outsole ensures secure grip and traction on rock, snow and ice and good crampon compatibility. It features a precision climbing zone, S-path guidance for walkability-and special rubber compound for improved grip and traction on snow and ice. Inside, the double-density EVA midsole provides good cushioning on both flat and steep terrain. In addition, the customizable Multi Fit Footbed Plus(MFF+)has interchangeable layers that allow you to further fine-tune the volume. On big mountain days with long descents, localized shock absorption zones reduce stress on the knees and ankles. And the Ankle Protector System(APS)does exactly what it says-the thermoformed material heel cuff offers extra ankle lateral-support, especially on downhill sections.
