Generally tongue-less cuff touring boots leave a little to be desired on the downhill but the Dalbello Quantum Free 105 W Alpine Touring Boot flips that belief on its head. These boots provide the uphill range of motion and lightweight feel we expected but it was the downhill performance that really surprised us. The 2 beefy buckles and powerstrap enabled us to push into our shins and really drive our skis through everything from light powder to perfect refrozen springtime corn.
