The Armada N Shift2 Alpine Touring Binding redefines what it means for a binding to be high-performing and versatile, allowing us to seamlessly transition between backcountry adventures and resort laps. The bindings are compatible with tech fittings for uphill efficiency and DIN-reated alpine bindings to give us unrelenting power and control on the descent. The bindings have been updated from the original Shift, but they maintain the same lightweight design and ultra-tough construction, allowing us to charge up and down the mountain. Elastic travel in the toe piece ensures reliable release when we need it while maintaining the rigidity necessary to ski aggressive lines. On the uphill, the dual heel risers allow us to conquer steep ascents, now with an extra 4mm of lift compared to the previous model. When it s time to descend, a quick flick of the Hike and Ride switch lets us make the turn and head back down the mountain. The updated brakes offer a stiffer, more convenient design that stays out of our way while we stride up the hill, and the updated AFD Power Block reinforces our connection to our skis for more powerful performance on the downhill. Compatible with a wide range of boot soles— including standard alpine, AT, tech, and GripWalk— the Shift2 offers unparalleled versatility, allowing us to simplify our quiver and enjoy complete freedom in the mountains.
